Job Description Summary

The functions of this position will include: rapid and large scale production and development of nucleoside-modified mRNA, developing and performing all quality control analyses on all mRNAs produced in the lab, development of targeted lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations specifically for in vivo use, and performing all required quality controls, and most critically, developing new techniques to both large scale produce mRNA and targeted LNP. Position will develop their own assays and methods, troubleshoot these methods, and analyze the data to determine the next steps in development.

Job Responsibilities

+ Conduct rapid and large-scale production and development of nucleoside-modified mRNAPerform in vitro assays

+ Develop and perform all quality control analyses on all mRNAs produced in the lab

+ Develop targeted lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations specifically for in vivo use and perform all required quality controls

+ Perform in vivo assays-mice and rats mainly

+ Maintain complete and accurate lab notes

+ Develop new methods to cGMP produce nucleoside-modified mRNA

+ Develop new methods to cGMP produce targeted lipid nanoparticles

+ Train junior staff members






Qualifications:


Bachelor of Science and 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have extensive laboratory experience working with molecular biology techniques and mRNA. Must be willing to work with small laboratory animals. Prior experience with tissue culture work is preferred
