POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Research Study Coordinator will support the Massachusetts Community Engagement Alliance (MA-CEAL) program, an NIH-funded project focused on promoting COVID-19 vaccine confidence, encouraging diverse participation in clinical research, and addressing health equity issues in our communities. The Coordinator will support cross-cutting functions with a primary focus on supporting research and evaluation efforts. They will work directly with study teams to meet project milestones and support investigators in dissemination of findings. The ideal candidate will be solution-oriented, an exceptional communicator, experienced in supporting human subjects research, and able to thrive in a collaborative and diverse work environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Administrative
- Support regular reporting (biweekly and monthly) due to the Sponsor on project activities and accomplishments
- Serve as a hub for external communications, including maintaining project mailbox and voicemail, responding to general inquiries, and delegating communications to team members accordingly
- Support file management, storage, and tracking across relevant Cores and study teams
- Support scheduling of meetings; generate agendas, lead meetings, record minutes, and track action items for regular core and team meetings
- Aid investigators in generating reports and presentations on study progress and findings
Research and Evaluation
- Support investigators in IRB applications and maintaining IRB approvals, including amendments, reportable events, continuing reviews, etc.
- Draft data collection instruments, including surveys and qualitative interview guides, and evaluation tools
- Track key milestones and deliverables; identify threats to deadlines and propose solutions to ensure targets are met
- Follows up with team members, monitoring progress towards achievement of deliverables, to ensure adherence to deadlines and to enable the project team to more efficiently complete the highest priority work.
- Develop, pilot, and maintain REDCap databases
- Conduct primary data collection, including obtaining informed consent, conducting participant interviews, and administering surveys
- Provide operational and logistical support of ongoing studies, including overseeing participant recruitment, reimbursement, electronic survey deployment, and managing direct communication with study participants
- Aid in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis
- Coordinate and mentor Research Assistants in data collection and other study implementation activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors' degree required, preferably in Public Health. MS/MPH strongly preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- None
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years relevant experience required. Experience in clinical research, public health experience, project coordination or training programs preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Exceptional verbal/written English communication skills, including excellent grammatical, editing and proofreading skills
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and other web-based applications. Ability to learn and implement new software systems
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to be socially perceptive in accepting and relaying confidential information, communicating policies and procedures, and interacting effectively with a variety of Medical Center personnel and outside personnel
- Working knowledge of electronic data capture systems (e.g., REDCap) and qualitative data analysis software (e.g., NVivo)
- Ability to learn and assimilate other related computer applications into study and data management practices
- Demonstrated progressive work experience in research management and project planning
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, including ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet timetables while managing several simultaneous projects.
