Job Description:
Food Technologist/ Laboratory Technician to aid in ingredient applications and functionality evaluations
Responsibilities:
" Aid in the development of new ingredient technology for Kraft Heinz food and beverage products
" Conduct bench top and pilot plant trials to optimize formulation and processes
" Perform functional evaluations of new ingredients and record results
" Perform sensory testing of prototypes and coordinate expert panel sensory tests
" Perform shelf-life and stability evaluations
" Coordinate team evaluations on a regular basis
" Submit prototypes for analytical testing and compile results
" Communicate with suppliers for ingredient requests and information
" Write progress reports
" Maintain and organize laboratory and supplies
" Ensure laboratory safety
Requirements:
" B.S. in Food Science or similar field and 2 min years experience
" Ability to provide sensory descriptions of foods and beverages
" Excellent verbal and written communication skills
" Good record-keeping and organization
" Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
