Position Overview:
Responsible for providing administrative support to the residency / fellowship program(s), which may include multiple subspecialties. Assists with the daily operations and logistics for the program(s) ensuring orderly and timely workflow. Ensures complete and accurate documentation and record retention of the residents / fellows.
Job Description :
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
+ Coordinates the daily operations and logistics of one or more residency / fellowship program(s).
+ Supports recruitment, graduation, and other residency / fellowship efforts.
+ Maintains and distributes resident rotation schedules, call schedules, vacation / leave schedules, and meeting schedules.
+ Coordinates outside electives which include applications to hospital(s) and evaluation forms.
+ Distribute, collect, and tabulate all evaluation forms regarding residents, rotations and faculty and compiles and generates feedback for appropriate follow-up and reporting.
+ Prepare and distributes the annual and monthly assignment schedules of the residents.
+ Maintain residency committee meeting minutes and develops reports.
+ Assist with resident / fellow travel and accommodations for national conferences.
+ Serve as liaison with other departments and entities.
+ Implement and updates program databases.
+ Process resident and faculty professional organization memberships.
+ May include grant planning, administration, budget management, program implementation, program marketing support, reporting.
+ Works independently with limited supervision.
+ Assist with resident / fellow recruiting efforts, screening applications and participate in the interview and selection process.
+ Creates, edits, and coordinates development of program materials including promo materials, educational materials, training manuals, etc.
+ Collects and compiles data; including annual data for reporting, prepares other reports; maintains program records and stats information.
+ Helps maintain policies and procedure manuals.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years of recent relevant experience.
Graduate Medical Education Experience preferred
