Residency Program Director in South Oaks Hospital at Northwell Health Physician Partners

Northwell Healths Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist to help lead South Oaks Hospitals Residency Training Program located in Amityville, New York. We are seeking applicants with outstanding clinical and managerial skills and at least three (3) years experience in a leadership position in psychiatry residency education (Associate Program Director or Program Director). The ideal candidate will provide oversight of the program to ensure regulatory compliance with the requirements of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and its Residency Review Committee (RRC), and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The candidate will also ensure the completeness of the educational training experience, comply with institutional and regulatory guidelines, and maintain the adequacy of the educational environment. Responsibilities will also include oversight of the candidate recruitment process, management of the programs budget and review of performance measures and use of staff resources appropriate to programs need. In addition, the Director will participate in the institutional graduate medical education committee and provide supervision to fellows, residents and other trainees caring for patients under the auspices of the department.

This key leadership position will work collaboratively with hospital and health system leaders to meet and exceed the organizations clinical, operational, and financial goals.
