A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESIDENT CARE COORDINATOR
As a full-time Resident Care Coordinator, you enjoy interacting with and providing high-quality care for our residents as well while providing overall supervision for the safety and assistance of our residents. During your shift, you direct the care staff in the proper and timely completion of their duties and assist the clinical nursing team in daily duties, documentation, and overall coordination of resident care. During each shift, you assess residents and document any changes in condition including interventions, care provided, and outcomes. Resident Care Coordinator also assists in providing resident care.
You also coordinate and lead activities of daily living and address family/social concerns. Your passion for our residents is apparent as you actively advocate for superior care and promote service excellence. You will also assist the scheduling coordinator in the coordination of caregiver work schedules via the allocation of employees in shifts and positions within our scheduling software and the coordination of our hiring process via arranging interviews, sending new hire documentation, and providing a great candidate experiences by ensuring a smooth transition for new hires into the onboarding and orientation training process.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESIDENT CARE COORDINATOR
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous work experience in the medical field required
- Previous experience working with the mentally ill preferred
- Post-high school education is preferred but not required
Previous experience as a supervisor preferably in a mental health environment is a plus, but not required. Are you self-motivated?
