Shifts Available:
- Part time (PT) & full time (FT) shifts available
- PT AM, PT PM (2 hour shifts)
- FT NOC shift available (8 hour shifts)
- Up to $3 shift differential added to your base wage
The Resident Assistant (RA) will provide resident care and delegated nursing tasks, as required or assigned, under the supervision of the licensed nurse within the Assisted Living. The Resident Assistant completes assigned tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe client/resident care. Communication and interactions with clients, residents, families and other team members is an essential component of this position to assure resident well-being and safety. The Resident Assistant may, at times, be the only staff working in a building so the individual must be able to manage building and client emergencies and to work independently, demonstrating good judgment toward care, safety, and hospitality. The Resident Assistant is able to pass medication or perform other delegated nursing tasks.
KEY RESULT AREAS/Essential Functions of the Job
1. Perform initial and ongoing data collection on all clients/residents under the direction of the licensed nurse.
2. Implement plan of care developed by the RN based on client/resident physical, psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs.
3. Provide direct resident care and reports condition and changes to the nurse.
4. Demonstrate a knowing of each tenant/client assigned to their care from a whole person perspective, including likes and dislikes, and integrates this awareness into the service provided: person-centered care.
5. Perform or assist with general care and service needs as assigned, which may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinent care, mobility and feeding according to a plan of care established by an RN as well as meal service, light housekeeping, laundry, pet care, leading recreational activities, etc.
6. Demonstrate time management and prioritization of tasks.
7. Document results of client/resident care within established policies, procedures and scope of practice.
8. Perform other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.
