We are seeking a positive, hardworking, and caring Resident Care Assistant to contribute to the quality of life of our residents.
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Hours: 2nd Shift (2:45pm-11:00pm)
Benefits: Holiday Pay, Paid Time Off (PTO), Retirement Plan/Match (full-time status only)
Job responsibilities:
- Provides assistance to resident or cues resident in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) (dressing/undressing, personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, eating/drinking, mobility, etc.)
- Provides assistance to residents in instrumental activities of daily living (telephone use, housekeeping, care of personal belongings, laundry, etc.)
- Monitors safety and well-being of residents and living environment
- Documents and records critical data points of resident well-being
- Initiates and participates in life enrichment activities with the residents, in conjunction and collaboration with Life Enrichment staff
- Performs light housekeeping and maintenance tasks in order to assure and maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming home environment for the residents
- Completes miscellaneous office/administrative tasks (monitoring supplies, printing forms, handling paperwork, etc.)
- Assists in preparing for and facilitating resident admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Other duties as requested
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
-Previous experience in assisted living, long term care, or other care environments
-Previous experience working with persons with dementia, older adults, or other populations needing physical or behavioral assistance
-Knowledge regarding the healthcare field
-Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or desire to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and grow within the healthcare field
