CommQuest seeks aResidential Care Coordinator. Responsible for Providing Support and care for clients thought out the day in residential care. Assist with other day to day activities to ensure clinicians can perform necessary group sessions, individual sessions, case management to insure best client care.
Insures the safety, security, and comfort of all clients, both outpatient and residential, and visitors by monitoring and supervising client and visitor behavior at all times.

What you'll do:
- Must demonstrate an ability to work with the public in general, at time of crisis situations, and under pressure while maintaining common sense and the ability to assess the situation quickly to respond to the vulnerable population CommQuest helps. Must be able to communicate with clients, visitors, staff, etc. using compassion and understanding.
- Plan and assist with recreational and educational activities, demonstrating and maintaining facility's treatment philosophy and programs.
- Requires experience working with adults with severe mental illness, and/or addiction recovery, and strong communication skills
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Candidates much be unemployed for the past six months to qualify for grant. This is a Temporary (1 year), Full-Time position, Canton/Massillon campus locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates much be unemployed for the past six months to qualify for grant and complete necessary application and interview steps with Ohio Means Jobs before continuing interview process with CommQuest.
- High school diploma or GED. Some college preferred. Must be trained and certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training within 90 days of hire. Must be at least 21 years of age. Experience working in field of addiction desired.
- Must possess the ability to work with the public in general, at time of crisis situations, and under pressure while maintaining common sense and the ability to assess the situation quickly to respond to the vulnerable population CommQuest helps. Must be able to communicate with clients, visitors, staff, etc. using compassion and understanding.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, intermediate verbal and written communication skills, ability to show discretion when dealing with confidential information, good judgment, and organizational skills. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Must be physically able to stand and climb steps throughout the facility frequently according to shift responsibilities. Must possess a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a driving record that is in compliance with agency insurance requirements. Must pass background check in accordance with agency standards.
