Job Description
The residential coordinator (RC) is a pivotal position in the home. They are primarily responsible for the coordination of safety, health care/nutrition, and general household operations. In these areas, the RC should be involved directly in all program planning, assessments, and implementation. The RC reports to the Program Director and also maintains direct communication with the Nurse, Consumer Benefits Coordinator, Health Service Coordinator, and maintenance staff. The RC will also assist in direct training, follow up, and coaching with program staff in the aforementioned areas, keeping the Program Director informed.
The RC is responsible for coordinating a variety of services including, but not limited to; individual finances, community integration, program implementation, family involvement, and education/vocational programs. The RC is required to assist the Program Director in maintaining consistency in programming, individual care, and communication with staff and interdisciplinary team members. The RC also carries out the responsibilities and duties of the Program Counselor during all direct care shifts in which they work.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age, high school diploma/GED, and basic computer skills
- Personal vehicle and liability insurance
- 1 – 3 years of experience in residential and/or support services for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Leadership skills
