SUMMARY
The Residential Director oversees the operation of seven to eight Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA), which are group homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities, under the oversight of the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.
· Serve as a member of the I/DD Department Senior Leadership Team
· Model I/DD department’s vision of excellence, and putting people supported at the core of our values and efforts
· Directly Supervise three Managers and the teams of each of the respective group homes (80-100 direct and indirect reports total)
· Work with the Quality Improvement Team to ensure the best outcomes for programs and people supported
· Manage the finances and budgets of the assigned IRA’s
· Coach, mentor, train and develop staff towards excellence
· Provide operational oversight to the IRA’s including physical plant, and ensuring they’re in compliance with all OPWDD regulations
· Be a positive resource to people supported, families, and members of the team as needed
· Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Five or more years of experience in a management capacity in a human services organization, directly supervising supervisory staff
· Experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities Strongly Preferred
· Knowledge of OPWDD Regulations and Policies Strongly Preferred
· Outstanding Leadership Skills
· Experienced in facilitating meetings
· Skilled in facilitating communication between diverse interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders
· Comfortable with technology
· Ability to work independently
· Excellent communication skills, written as well as verbal
· Valid Driver’s License
