In Charge Electric is looking to hire a skilled Residential Electrician Training Truck Leader to join our growing team. In this position you will play a crucial role in training our new Apprentice Electricians. We work with the nation's largest home builders and we pride ourselves on the quality and consistency of our work.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight:
o Manage the training truck operations, ensuring it is fully equipped and maintained for training purposes.
o Coordinate with branch managers and supervisors to schedule training sessions and address specific training needs.
o Monitor and report on training outcomes and the effectiveness of training other employees. - Leadership and Mentorship:
o Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, expertise, and a commitment to quality and safety.
o Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where employees feel supported and encouraged to grow.
o Mentor junior trainers and assist in their development as effective educators. - Driving Safety:
o Emphasize the importance of safe driving practices and adherence to traffic laws.
o Train employees on the safe operation of company vehicles, including the training truck.
o Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe and reliable operation. - Training and Development:
o Conduct hands-on training sessions for new hires and current employees on various electrical tasks and procedures.
o Develop and implement training programs and materials to enhance employees' technical skills and safety awareness.
o Assess employees' competencies and provide feedback and coaching to improve performance.
o Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices to ensure training content is current and relevant. - Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure all training adheres to company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
o Promote a safety-first culture by educating employees on safe work practices and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
o Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Valid Texas Wireman or Journeyman license preferred
- 2 plus years’ experience in Residential electrical construction
- Valid driver's license and Clean driving history
- Possess and maintain required tools
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
