Job Description: Residential Service Coordinator
MACV invites qualified applicants to apply for a Resident Service Coordinator position to help ensure housing stability and independence for Veterans who are living at MACV properties. The position will be focused on providing assistance, support, and basic skill training to tenants at MACV properties to help ensure their long-term sustainable housing and independence.
Residential Service Coordinator/RSC: RSC's act as a main liaison between the MACV tenant, MACV case manager, and MACV property team at multiple housing sites.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ASSOCIATED TASKS
Coordinates Supportive Housing Services
· Develop and maintain a resource directory to assist residents in sustainable housing.
· Connect with Property Management team to ensure consistency and integration of services to best support each veteran.
· Provide case coordination for veterans internal and external supports systems.
Assists in navigating the housing application process for potential residents and referral sources
· Determining eligibility and assisting in gathering required documentation.
· Coordinate screening and application process with Property Management and residents to ensure fair housing requirements are met.
· Attend lease signings and move-in's
· Provides orientation to the building and supportive services programs.
Collaboration to increase Housing Sustainability
· Meet with each resident (individual or group) within 30 days of move-in to assure resident understanding of lease, handbook, and house rules.
· Works collaboratively with residents, property management staff, and other MACV departments to fully resolve lease adherence concerns/housing risk, sustainability challenges, and minimize lease terminations.
· Develops, implements, and monitors written agreements for resolving housing risk with residents.
· Assists residents with preparations for unit inspections and re-certifications.
· Mediates disputes between neighbors and/or between residents and property management.
· Participates effectively as a collaborative member of a coordinated property management/ services team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Associate degree in a related field or at least three years' experience in a related field.
· Knowledge of local social service programming and resources
· Two or more years of experience implementing human service programs focused on ethnically, socially and/or economically diverse populations.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Demonstrated experience working within diverse communities, which includes people of various ages, gender, sexual orientations, national origins, income levels, ability levels, religious affiliations, races, criminal backgrounds and languages.
· Experience utilizing MS Office and web-based programs.
· Provide proof of a current and valid driver's license issued in the state of residency.
· Have or be willing to obtain adequate automobile insurance.
· Meet the company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) criteria.
· Reliable vehicle.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's Degree in social work, human services or similarly related field.
· Knowledge and experience with supportive housing funding streams including LTH, Section 8 and HUD VASH.
· Residential and/or clinical experience with persons experiencing mental illness, chemical dependency, co-occurring disorders, and homelessness.
· Knowledge of Veterans culture and Veterans benefits.
· De-escalation and crisis intervention skills.

· Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
· Data entry and documentation
· Strong communication skills
