We're looking to add a skilled residential journeyman electrician to join us, there will also be opportunities for commercial work.
Job Summary
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical installation, repair, and maintenance tasks for our residential construction clients. This includes reading blueprints, installing wiring and electrical components, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all work meets local building codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, and electrical panels.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code requirements to complete projects accurately and to code.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Mentor and train apprentice electricians as needed.
- Some commercial work.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Journeyman Electrician License.
- 3-5 years of experience as a journeyman electrician, preferably in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, tools, and safety best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
