Ealy Construction is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Carpenter to manage and oversee construction projects. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for both hands-on carpentry and project management, ensuring the success of each project while delivering the highest standards of craftsmanship. With a focus on quality, communication, and customer satisfaction, you will be the key representative on-site, responsible for maintaining the company's reputation for excellence.
Who we are:
- Serve as the on-site manager, representing Ealy Construction to clients and the community.
- Fully understand and manage all job paperwork, plans, specifications, and change orders, ensuring adherence to project expectations. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Perform all carpentry labor on-site while delegating and supervising other carpenters and helpers.
- Schedule, coordinate, and supervise all subcontractors, ensuring proper performance and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare material takeoffs and order materials promptly to avoid delays; review and inspect all deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site, including proper storage of materials and equipment.
- Ensure job safety for both workers and clients, adhering to safety protocols and monitoring equipment safety.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve any issues or changes.
- Lead by example, demonstrating high-quality work, and maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Maintain accurate job records, including schedules, daily progress, and material orders.
- Monitor and manage project schedules, keeping the job on track and reporting any delays or issues to the project manager.
- Handle customer relations with care, referring extra work or changes to the project manager for approval.
- Ensure the jobsite reflects a professional image, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.
- Review and approve sales budgets.
- Plan jobs and determine daily labor needs.
- Organize and supervise all on-site labor and subcontractors.
- Estimate, order, and receive materials.
- Resolve plan discrepancies and handle change orders in coordination with the contractor and owner.
- Oversee jobsite safety and ensure compliance with local building codes.
- Prepare punch lists and schedule inspections.
- Follow up on warranty call-backs and ensure client satisfaction.
- 10+ years of experience in residential carpentry and remodeling.
- Passion for carpentry, demonstrated through a positive attitude and dedication to quality work.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to take ownership of projects.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Humble, hungry, and personable-ready to take on challenges with a positive attitude and a drive for success.
