TURN Community Services was founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities. With locations from Brigham City to St. George, we offer a full range of services including day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities.

YOUR LIFE AS A RESIDENTIAL SERVICES ASSISTANT COORDINATOR
The typical schedule for this position is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-6:00pm (somewhat flexible) In addition there is some flexibility needed depending on the needs of the program and may include day, swing, overnight and weekend hours.
As a Residential Services Assistant Coordinator with our nonprofit group home, you play an essential role in helping our program coordinator keep our group home running smoothly. You provide additional oversight to the staffing and training of our group home as well as ensure that residents receive the individual support that they need. In addition, you help coordinate and lead the programs that we offer. Following along with our person-centered and behavior support plans, you monitor, supervise, and participate in their development and implementation, which means our residents are always receiving the top-quality care they need. You enjoy having a job where you get to make such a positive impact on our residents with developmental disabilities and their families!
This program provides support for 7 men with varying developmental disabilities. All of the individuals supported in this program are high-functioning and require little or no assistance with personal hygiene care. The Program Assistant provides direct service for program individuals, training for staff, assisting with shopping, menu planning, medical and other appointments, and client finances, and works with the Coordinator planning and executing in-home and community activities.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- 6+ months of experience working with individuals with Developmental/intellectual disabilities
- Ability to complete required training within 3 months of employment
- Ability to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and accurate numerical records
- Own personal, reliable transportation and a willingness to transport clients.
- Valid driver's license, current motor vehicle insurance, and clean driving record.
- Basic computer skills
- Leadership skills
