Residential Superintendent - Veldhouse Construction

Summary of Role:

• The superintendent will assist the Project Manager with miscellaneous carpentry and coordination tasks throughout the course of residential construction projects. A superintendent's primary purpose is to keep a project moving by providing information and removing obstacles for vendors and subcontractors. This position will be based on the jobsite(s) 100% of the time. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• 2+ years construction experience
• Carpentry skills and experience required
• Ability to read civil, structural, and architectural plans in detail
• Effective communicator both in verbal and written form
• Must be able to operate skid loader, forklift, man lift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and be on feet for long periods of time

Primary Responsibilities:

• Jobsite cleanliness, oversight, and quality control
• Framing
• Siding
• Door and window installation
• Demo 
• Material runs
• Subcontractor coordination
• Material receiving/handling

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Tile
• Finish Carpentry
  • Doors, cabinets, millwork
• Flooring installation
• Grading and concrete prep
• Assist with daily logs and scheduling
• Other duties as assigned by Project Manager

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks: 

• $20-30/hr – DOE. Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate beyond 40 hours in each week.
