ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish.
Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
Maintain and build community and church partnerships regarding Gift in Kind (GIK) donations and World Relief Spokane resources. Actively manage and track GIK donations and manage warehouse organization and mobilization of general and specialized volunteers to support Matching Grant (MG) and R&P programs in compliance with the R&P Cooperative Agreement, MG Program Guidelines, and World Relief's Mission, Vision and Values and policies.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Warehouse Management and Move ins: Ensure the warehouse is organized and clean and receiving and distribution systems are utilized; Minor furniture repairs; Ordering mattresses and other bulk purchase items as needed; Distribution tracking and check requests; Communicating with volunteer coordinator on warehouse management needs; Mobilize general and specialized WH volunteers to maximize potential, come up with innovative ways to mobilize them for MG GIK and capture their hours for MG GIK. Coordinate with Housing Coordinator and Case Managers on client move ins and work along with volunteers to deliver household items and furniture and complete home set ups.
- Donations Development and MG Coordination: Maintain inventory and organization of MG items and MG designated WH space; Monitor and keep stocked the office-based MG store; Building new donor relations and cultivating existing relations with donors; Track needs of MG and R&P programs and initiate GIK donations drives in collaboration with development team; Enter GIK into GIVE and track regular donors to communicate information with development department; Calling, emailing or sending thank you letters for GIK donations.
- Maintain open communication with staff on behalf of clients in accordance with individual self-sufficiency plans, while honoring confidentiality through proper care of verbal, printed and electronic personal identifiable information. When follow-up is required to any family need or incomplete service, track the follow-up until complete, case note completely. Always case note and include in reports the reason for any late service.
- Support Resettlement staff with Core Services as needed. This may include the occasional arrival or home visit.
- Maintain efficient communication with volunteers and community resources.
- Attend trainings and conferences as requested by supervisor.
- Keep informed about refugee and immigrant issues and available services to refugees. Advocate on behalf of refugees, and refugee-serving agencies.
- Perform all duties in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
- Undertake other duties as assigned; Work varied hours, including some night and weekend work.
- In collaboration with the Housing Coordinator, provide day to day coordination for the Housing and Resource Assistant.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: o Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. o Adaptable to ever changing situations and needs. o Superior written and verbal communication skills. o Cultural sensitivity and understanding of client confidentiality. o Must have first-hand experience with the refugee experience. o Experience with cross-cultural communication and the ability to work with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. o Able to drive a box truck. o Able to professionally represent World Relief to donors, property managers and places of supplies procurement
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm World Relief's Core Beliefs and Statement of Faith, and acknowledge World Relief's Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) and internet applications required.
- Minimum of B.A. plus two years of relevant work experience
- Valid driver's license and able to pass the background check and MVR.
- Some evening or weekend work may be needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preference given to applicants who are bilingual and speak a language that is spoken by a major refugee group in Spokane.
Compensation is commensurate with experience
