Overview:
Under the supervision of the Director of Planning and Development, the Resource Development Manager will oversee and coordinate the planning and resource development for one (1) to two (2) BCYF regions and two (2) program divisions, along with assisting with the coordination of research, marketing and community partnership.
Responsibilities:- Coordinates and provides resource development with BCYF regions/clusters and units/divisions in conjunction with the Cluster Administrators and Administrative Coordinators.
- Develops, implements, and maintains system(s) for identifying and tracking public and private funding opportunities and funds received.
- Designs, develops, and implements production of a monthly program development newsletter.
- Provides planning, program development, fundraising, data collection, and extensive grant writing training and technical assistance to center staff and council members.
- Coordinates and expands the Planning and Resource Development Library.
- Assists with the development and coordination of research, trend/status reports, and surveys that provide data and key findings on Boston’s children, youth, and families.
- Assists in the overall public relations, marketing, and community outreach through various means.
- Assists with various projects and initiatives as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Two (2) to three (3) years in planning, program development, grant writing, or fundraising.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with timelines and meet deadlines.
- Ability to set and manage priorities in a changing work environment.
- Knowledge of Boston neighborhoods.
- Knowledge of Boston’s non-profit and human service field.
- Knowledge of budget preparations and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access preferred.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
