Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RCP)

Responsibilities:

• Respiratory Care Expertise: Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory conditions.
• Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in using various respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and diagnostic tools.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
• Emergency Response: Respond to respiratory emergencies, providing prompt and effective intervention to stabilize patients.
• Training and Education: Organize and deliver in-service programs for respiratory services staff and other patient care staff as requested.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) approved respiratory therapy program.
• Licensure: Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license issued by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be obtained prior to the first shift worked.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification within 60 days of employment.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification within 90 days of employment.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification within 180 days of employment.

Experience:

• Previous experience as an RCP is preferred, but new graduates of an NBRC-approved respiratory therapy program will be considered.

Schedule:

• Full Time: 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week.
• Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Weekends: Every third weekend.
