Responsibilities:Position Summary:
The incumbent is an entry level Respiratory Therapist who can perform all therapies provided by the Respiratory Care Department throughout most of the hospital with minimal to moderate assistance with the exception of NICU.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Six (6) months working clinical experience as a student RCP
- Associates Degree from an advanced level education program with current California State provisional license
- Must be able to clearly communicate in English and possess critical thinking skills
- CA license
- BLS, ACLS and PALS Certification (Must be through the American Heart Association)
- RG RRT must be obtained within 6 months of hire into the position
- NPS credentialing must be completed within 2 years of hire
- EEG Competency within 1 year
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (RRT-NPS) certification preferred
