Shift: Full Time Nights 11p-7a, e/o weekend and rotating holidays.
Responsibilties Inculde;
Under general supervision and medical direction performs respiratory care related procedures.
Manages artifcial airways, performs airway care and maintenance, ventilator management , troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical ventilators.
Assessment and treatment of residents/patients respiratory status, ABG analysis. Administers prescribed therapies such as, airway clearance; chest physiotherapy, percussion/vibration, deep tracheal suctioning and, aerosolized medications. Review physican orders, correct aersol therapy medication dosage. Communication and documentation is vital in patient care. Communiate with RT's, nurses, physicans and supervisior/management with any pertinent information regarding patient/respiratory status.
Assist in emercency cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. Therapist must be CPR certified. ACLS perferred but not required at time of hire.
