Unit Notes
- Unit: RT
- # beds: Covers all areas of hospital except NICU - this includes ER, ICU, pediatric medsurg, and all other medsurg/tele areas
- Certs: ACLS, BLS, NRP - NPS if want to work in NICU, state of CA requires RRT (will not accept CRT)
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Charge RT on 24/7
- Weekend Requirement: every other
- Holidays: one major holiday required
- Scrub Color: Black
- Tele: Client
- Vents: Hamilton, G5, C1, MR1, Galileo's
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist 24/7
- IV Team: NO
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- Shifts: 12 hrs 6-630, weekends are assigned, some flexibility for week schedules, schedules made out about 3-4 weeks in advance
- Floating: To all areas except NICU
- Floor specific orientation: 2 days
- Common diagnosis/Types of patients: common duties include breathing treatments, ABG's, EKG's, etc.
- Additional Notes: must have travel experience and 2-5 years' experience in critical care, duties and equipment includes interpulm percussion, high flow neonatal nasal cannula, heli-ox, aero-gen nebulizers, non invasive ventilation.
