need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.
For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. **Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed**
**UNIT NEEDS A NICU TRAINED RRT THAT HOLDS EXPERIENCE INTUBATING DURING DELIVERIES WITHIN THE LAST 90 DAYS. CANNOT ACCEPT CANDIDATES THAT HAVE ONY ASSISTED**
This role requires newborn intubation skills
Department: RT
# treatments per day: 30 treatments per 12 hour shift
Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and CRT OR RRT acceptable
Types of patients (adults, peds, and neonates?) NICU TRAINED, NICU POPULATION, MAY FLOAT TO OTHER AGES
Experience or 'Must have' skill: Basic Respiratory Assessment & treatment skills
Job Duties: Aerosol therapy, Secretion mobilization, Lung expansion, Endotracheal tube & tracheostomy management, Noninvasive Ventilation, Oxygen Modalities, Mechanical ventilation, No ABG's
Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist? Intubate Independently
Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist? Always a RT Shift Lead present each shift
RT Leader on Call Present M-F and available 24/7
Shifts & Scheduling : Scheduling by needs, Each shift consists of 7-15 RT's per shift., Contract worker would never be only RT present.
Weekend Requirement: EOW

Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Intensivist onsite 24 hours a day/ 365 days a year
Department Specific Orientation: Respiratory Therapy Dept onboarding consists of three 12 hour shifts for (floors & ER).
