We are a 62 bed Skilled nursing facility with one floor of 15 beds requiring respiratory care.

$32.50 to $41 an hour Dependent on experience

Full job description
General Summary/Responsibilities:
The Respiratory Therapist functions in a skilled role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for patient populations served. Administers inhalation treatments by using prescribed equipment (e.g., masks; assembles & applies pressure devices such as those for intermittent positive pressure breathing, various types of resuscitators & ventilators; assembles equipment & administers aerosol therapy to clients. The RT will coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience. RT will report changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel and the attending physician, and participates in coordination of services with other disciplines and community resources as needed The RT is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree.

Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- PALS certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability
Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience
