Respiratory Therapist - Fieldston Lodge Care Center

Job Requirements:

• N. Y. S License for Respiratory Therapy
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician
• Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Associate Degree, Respiratory Therapy
• Experience preferred but training will be provided
• Current CPR card

Job Description:

• Assessment for all ventilator and tracheostomy residents. Document o2 sat, ETco2 and other settings as needed.
• Check all residents’ conditions and document in the resident’s flow sheet or assigned areas as per protocol.
• Document any resident’s change in condition or occurrences in the residents flow sheet or assigned areas as per protocol.
• Administer medications, (aerosol therapy) according to physician’s order and document accordingly.
• Respond to emergency calls on the unit and within the facility.
• Provide assistance in artificial ventilation, oxygen therapy and utilization of equipment.
