Biweekly Hours: 16.00
Shift: 7am-3:30pm, 3pm-11:30pm

Summary:
Assists with and/or provides limited respiratory services to infant through adult patients under the direction of the Respiratory Clinical Supervisor or a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT). Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Actively enrolled in and in good standing with an accredited Respiratory Care program.
Obtains an active limited permit from the Ohio Medical Board within two months of meeting the licensure educational requirements.
Ensures that all paperwork is filed with the appropriate Program Director and The MetroHealth System's Human Resources department in a timely fashion, and as outlined by the licensure laws for the State of Ohio.
Obtains and maintains BLS Certification from the AHA within the standard probationary period.
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals.
