Job Description: Respiratory Therapist

Location: 1201 Langhorne Newtown Rd., Langhorne, PA, 19047
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 19:00 - 07:30

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a 13-week contract basis. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal respiratory function and patient comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to therapy and treatments.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen delivery systems.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory health and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in acute care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as necessary.
• Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
