As the Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations, including customer service, food preparation, sales, staff management, and inventory control. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the business, managing food deliveries, maintaining operational standards, and driving sales growth. A core part of the role is ensuring quality control, minimizing waste, and managing costs. The Assistant General Manager will also be responsible for upholding company values, leading the team, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all products meet company quality standards, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Serve as a role model for exceptional customer service, according to company policies.
Lead, coach, and manage staff to foster a customer-focused work environment and achieve performance goals.
Handle customer complaints and resolve challenging situations with professionalism.
Train and support team members to consistently provide high-quality service.
Oversee daily operations, including food temperature logs, order processing, timekeeping, deposits, and food deliveries.
Communicate long-term vision, set team morale, and lead by example.
Ensure all equipment and property are properly maintained, cleaned, and in good working condition.
Perform or delegate opening and closing duties.
Lift and handle containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and inventory management to maintain food safety standards.
Supervise staff, assign daily responsibilities, and ensure the smooth operation of the business.
Skills:
Ability to work independently while fostering a team-oriented work environment.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Proactive and able to identify tasks that need completion without direct supervision.
Strong leadership and communication skills to give and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Capable of handling emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Knowledge of safety regulations and operational procedures.
Experience in ordering, managing inventory, and serving bulk food.
