Restaurant Assistant Manager - Kanki Durham/Chapel Hill

About Kanki Home of Steaks and Sushi:
When you visit one of our Raleigh-Durham restaurants, you'll be greeted by our friendly staff and seated at a large table surrounding one of our teppan grills. Our extensive menu offers a wide selection of drinks, starters, sushi, hibachi, and more. All teppanyaki dishes are made-to-order, and our talented chefs will prepare your meal right in front of your eyes, providing mealtime entertainment for your whole table to enjoy.

Abilities Needed:
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Ensure guest satisfaction is always the top priority
- Run great shifts from start to close
- Inspire and lead a team of talented individuals
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences consistently
- Build a cohesive and efficient team
- Handle guest complaints effectively
- Adapt to different situations while running shifts
- Analyze and control labor costs and staffing levels
- Have a general working knowledge of Hot Schedule
- Have great cash control skills
- Control costs and have general P&L knowledge
- Turn in all necessary paperwork in a timely manner
- Have a general knowledge of an Aloha/NCR POS system or similar
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of full-service, casual dining restaurant management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Open availability including weekends (Non-Negotiable)
- Reliable transportation and punctuality (Non-negotiable)
- Ability to stand and walk around for 10-hour shifts

When you visit of our Raleigh-Durham restaurants, you’ll be greeted by our friendly staff and seated at a large table surrounding one of our teppan grills.
Next, you’ll choose drinks, starters, sushi, hibachi and more from our extensive menu. All teppanyaki dishes will be made-to-order, and our chefs will prepare your hibachi chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon or scallops, along with rice and a selection of veggies, right in front of your eyes.
Of course, half of the fun is watching our chefs as they expertly chop, dice and cook your meal with the flip of a knife, providing mealtime entertainment your whole table is sure to enjoy!
