The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the take-out restaurant ensuring
(a) compliance with company and DOH standards,
(b) that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each and every Rocco's customer,
(c) a best in class employee experience for all Rocco's workers, and
(d) a strong and positive relationship with members of the local community.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Facilitate a positive and accurate guest experience, ensuring that activities are consistent with company, DOH, and other quality & safety standards.
- Greet and serve guests quickly, concisely explaining menu options to facilitate efficient ordering.
- Collaborate with Home Depot management to promote the restaurant plus with other stores within the community to increase restaurant traffic.
- Hire, manage, and inspire restaurant employees. Manage employee schedules to ensure shifts are adequately covered with trained and engaged employees who are strong brand ambassadors for the restaurant, and who have expert knowledge of restaurant food and beverage options.
- Provide recurring on-the-job training and coaching for new and existing team members, including cross-training to maximize product and service consistency.
- Assist team members during rush periods to ensure restaurant efficiency as well as product and service excellence.
- Complete &/or schedule preventative maintenance and upkeep on store equipment and supplies.
- Ensure POS capabilities are maximized.
- Manage daily financial deposits.
- Control profit & loss by following cash control/security procedures, controlling inventory, managing labor costs, and other relevant variables.
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required. Communicate with ownership as prudent regarding ad hoc opportunities and occurrences.
- Assist with other areas of business demands as needed.
Highly qualified candidates will possess most or all of the following:
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a sense of ownership.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years' experience working as a Restaurant Manager required, ideally in the quick-service &/or food-on-the-go space.
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety standards within the food & beverage industry
- Customer centric attitude. Desire to lead by example and motivate others.
- Sales and marketing experience a plus.
- Experience with Clover POS a plus.
- Experienced in catering services a plus.
- Direct, clear, and concise verbal communicator. Active listener.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, physical environment with regular distractions and demands.
- Willingness to step in to perform tasks/cover an open shift whenever needed.
