Merjent, Inc. (Merjent) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restoration Field Lead to lead, manage, train, and mentor multiple crews on restoration projects throughout the United States. This is a seasonal position with the potential for a full-time opportunity. The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $28 to $36 per hour with overtime, depending on qualifications and experience. Ideal candidates for this position will have previous restoration experience and be located in the Midwest.

responsibilities
The Restoration Field Lead will be responsible for the following:
- Interacting professionally with the project superintendent, client, contractors, and inspectors to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, accurately, and on-time, and creating and enhancing relationships with clients, contractors, and inspectors.
- Planning, organizing, or directing activities concerned with the reclamation or maintenance of right-of-way, or contracted worksite.
- Supervising and communicating daily activities of crew(s) and contract personnel, and planning work and materials ahead of time to avoid unplanned material and tool runs.
- Ensuring employees have proper training and tools to perform their jobs.
- Actively train, educate, and assist in developing other team members.
- Inspecting employee equipment and vehicles to ensure they are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Accurately completing and submitting daily work records, reports, and logs.
- Ensuring regulatory requirements are maintained.
- Mitigating job site hazards immediately; reporting all safety concerns to their Project Lead/manager or Safety Manager; and promoting safety by adhering to safe work practices while promoting job site safety.
- Scheduling projects in logical steps and budgeting time required to meet deadlines.
qualifications and experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Previous restoration experience managing field crews.
- Maintain tactful and mature demeanor using well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
- Strong written, oral communication and effective listening skills.
- General knowledge of farm equipment, heavy equipment, and agricultural equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- General understanding and use of ArcGIS Online.
- Travel to other states may be required on a regular basis.
- Ability to abide by local laws and regulations.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable with quickly changing project timelines and expectations.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Able to work in varying outdoor weather conditions.
