We are seeking a Retail Business Development Manager to fill a new position on the Domestic Parks Business Development team. The Parks Retail Business Development team is focused on creating growth and value for the Domestic Parks/Disney Signature Experiences (DSE) merchandise line of business through business analysis, the identification of new opportunities in support of business strategies, capital planning, capital project management, and initiative/project development and management.
The position will report to the Senior Manager, Retail Business Development. This role can be based in either Anaheim, CA or Orlando, FL.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will partner to craft the development of the Merchandise Long-Term Capital Plan (LTCP) and Annual Capital Plan (ACP) with the goal of driving growth and achieving long-term objectives. Your focus will include:
+ Maintaining the Merchandise LTCP for Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and DSE LTCP and ACP in partnership with Sites and Finance.
+ Working with key partners to analyze capital retail projects and guide supportable projects to approval.
+ Working with partners to see approved projects through all stages to opening while partnering to ensure that projects stay on track and issues are optimally addressed.
+ Supporting planning and business case development for MGOI projects.
+ Analyzing business opportunities and issues as assigned.
+ Reviewing domestic business performance to identify opportunities.
+ Developing presentations to communicate on projects.
Required Qualifications & Skills
+ 3+ years of proven experience in retail roles, financial analysis and/or strategy development.
+ Proven creativity in identifying business opportunities and addressing issues.
+ Excellent communication and relationship skills with a proven ability to influence partners and key business decisions.
+ Professional written skills.
+ Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple priorities.
+ Self-starter with natural curiosity and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
+ Ability to work within a complex, matrix organization and find creative solutions.
+ Excel experience with formulas and pivot table experience
Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, mathematics, or other quantitative fields.

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $102,000 to $136,700 per year and in Orlando, FL is $73,400 to $98,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
