Retail Fuel Pricing Intern - Sheetz, Inc

Complete a 12-week internship with the Sheetz Petroleum Retail Pricing team as a Retail Fuel Pricing Analyst. The intern will support analytics efforts to achieve optimal profitability across the entire store portfolio and product mix. The intern will also assist with the curation and interpretation of diverse data sets and ever changing market dynamics enabling the organization to make strategic fuel pricing decisions.

1. Support the development of ongoing fuel pricing strategy within Sheetz fuel retail markets.
2. Identify opportunities to optimize fuel margin and gallons mix by leveraging competitive and historical data sets.
3. Assist fuel pricing team with the delivery and maintenance of active fuel price points in market.
4. Generate reports & visualizations using Tableau to support department objectives.

Education
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Economics, Statistics or related field required
• Minimum 3.0 GPA

Experience
• Coursework or limited experience (0-2 years) in strategic fuel pricing, revenue management and / or analytics experience required
• Coursework of limited experience (0-2 years) leveraging diverse data sets and analytical tools preferred (Tableau, Excel etc.)
• Knowledge and practical application of advanced statistical analysis, econometrics and/or mathematical modeling concepts and principles
• Understanding of SQL queries and data exploration
