The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a Full Time Gift Shop Managerto join our team of professionals in our Gift Shop and Volunteer department.

Position Overview:
- Is responsible for purchasing and maintaining adequate stock and supplies for the Gift Shop through meeting with vendors, catalogue purchases and telephone orders
- Coordinates the New York State Lottery game sales for the Parker Gift Shop
- Responsible for selling lottery games and for training volunteer staff to sell games, is responsible for ordering supplies as needed, maintaining stock of games, insuring that self-serve terminal is stocked and operable at all times
- Maintains and supervises adequate number of volunteer sales staff
- Is responsible for working with the Finance Department to insure the accurate reporting of sales, deposits and any other required documentation in a timely manner
- Works cooperatively with the League Service Auxiliary members in generating sales for the Gift Shop
The ideal candidate will possess prior retail experience, prior experience supervising volunteers, and excellent customer service skills
