Overview:
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Retail Inventory Management Temp to join the Retail team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
This position is responsible for maintaining an accurate flow of inventory within the Marc Jacobs North America Retail & Outlet divisions. This includes daily reporting, cycle counting, shipment discrepancy research, merchandise returns, quality control issues, physical inventory management and analyzing inventory metrics
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain inventory in compliance with company policies, ensuring accuracy and detailed recording of all inventory transactions.
- Conduct detailed research and analyze inventory discrepancies to identify trends leading to loss or shrinkage
- Develop and implement inventory control best practices while continuous monitoring and collaborating with logistics and warehouse teams.
- Support the execution and reconciliation of cycle counts, including proposing internal controls and monitoring procedures.
- Supervise inter-store/location transfers to ensure accurate processing from initiation to completion.
- Manage the Special Order process in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Monitor Cegid (POS) reporting to ensure accurate recording of On-Hand and In-Transit inventory units.
- Reconcile In-Transit and Offsite inventory discrepancies, contributing to the development of improved inventory control procedures.
- Manage physical inventory counts as well as cycle counts to ensure compliance with internal inventory controls.
- Clean up of any outstanding system issues in Cegid
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in inventory management, preferably in a retail or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in Cegid Management Software or similar POS experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices and procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER:
The compensation for this position ranges from $35-$42 (hourly). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. MJ employees also receive discounts on MJ products throughout the year.
