We are assisting them in finding a dedicated and experienced Retail Operations Administrator - Fine Jewelry to support their administrative team. Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the team, managing schedules, handling correspondence, and overseeing clerical tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the store.
- Maintain and organize office systems, ensuring that all administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Assist with customer inquiries and store-related administrative tasks, delivering the exceptional service the store is known for.
- Office Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the administrative office, ensuring a productive and organized work environment.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to the 5-person administrative team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Handle reports, spreadsheets, and assist across various office functions, especially during staff absences, ensuring tight processes are followed.
- IT Support
- Handle IT tasks such as setting up and maintaining email accounts, printers, phones, software, and iPads.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues and coordinate with external IT support when necessary to keep all systems running smoothly.
- Assist the sales team with IT issues and provide support to department heads across the building.
- Team Leadership
- Learn and master the store's administrative systems and procedures, with the goal of eventually leading the administrative team.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative, efficient, and customer-focused work environment.
- Lead by example through work ethic, kindness, and professionalism.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Manage product, repairs, reports, supplies, and shipping-related tasks, ensuring everything is processed efficiently.
- This role does not involve HR duties, as those are covered by the existing team.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in office administration or a similar role, preferably in a retail or jewelry store setting.
- Intermediate IT skills, with experience in managing office technology such as email systems, printers, and software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership and team coordination abilities, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions/Environment:
- Location: Onsite in Greater New Orleans, Louisiana
- Workdays Schedule:
- Scheduled workdays will fall Tuesday through Saturday
- Closed Sunday and Monday
- Work schedule will fall within core hours: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Compensation:
- Base salary (commensurate with experience)
