Adecco Creative and Marketing has partnered with an iconic museum to hire retail, stock, and visitor experience associates.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
You will ensure customer service on the selling floor exceeds customer's expectations and assist the Manager in achieving sales and service goals. You will participates in zone coverage of the selling floor and is responsible for a specific area or category of business. You will contribute to shop and stock maintenance. Saturdays and Sundays are required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Greet or acknowledge all customers entering the shop, approaching sales location, or on the phone. Learns customer’s shopping purpose
Engage customer in museum and/or sales oriented conversations sells to customer, up-sells to customer. Close sales by using knowledge of product and procedures helpful to customer
Process payment at register using current selling script; follow current cash, check, and credit procedures
Provide coverage of selling floor when not on register; answer customer questions, escort customers to merchandise, perform shop maintenance in area adjacent to selling counter, participate in loss prevention efforts
Observe schedule, maintain good attendance and punctuality
Assist with maintenance of shop and stock by cleaning, straightening, requisitioning merchandise, ticketing, restocking, as needed
Participate in annual inventory process
Other related duties to contribute to team effort
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant work experience
Previous cash handling POS experience
Sales oriented
Outgoing, good interpersonal and communication skills required
Ability to learn requirements of the job such as register functions, product information, museum collections and relatedness, location of merchandise, etc.
Knowledge of art history, museums, and NYC cultural institutions
Enjoys working in a fast paced, high-volume environment
This role will last during the holidays. The pay is $25/hr. You will work on 25-28 hours/week.

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
