About the Role & Program
Disney Consumer Products (DCP) brings beloved brands and franchises into the daily lives of families and fans through products! As the Retail Strategy and Integration intern, you'll be an important part of the development and implementation of retail strategies for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Signature Experiences. We build the strategies for all cross-category programs (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) as well as any site-specific programs (attractions, events, etc). We get to view breathtaking artwork and design taking shape throughout the product development cycle! If selected for this role, you will report to the Senior Manager of Merchandise Strategy. Please be available for January 2025 through June 2025.
What You Will Do
As our intern, you will be part of a small team that is responsible for creating new merchandise initiatives. You will:
+ Resolve cross-category product strategies supporting multiple Disney Franchises, Parks Intellectual Property, and events.
+ We work with cross-functional team members to implement product and marketing strategies.
+ Help develop and build breakthrough strategies identifying quarterly landscapes, marketing priorities, and big bet items.
+ Maintain a variety of critical business platforms such as product set dates and weekly business reporting.
+ Establish relationships with a diverse group of partners internal to our organization (Planning, Location Strategy) as well as external Marketing, Operations
Required Qualifications & Skills
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
+ Experience in retail and/or marketing
+ Experience collecting and analyzing data and reporting on results
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail as well as effective creative problem solving abilities
+ Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
Education
+ Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
+ Currently enrolled as a junior, senior or recent graduate within the past 6 months, pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Product Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Business, Finance, Retail Management, or related field
Candidates for this opportunity Must meet all of the below requirements
+ Be at least 18 years of age
+ Possess unrestricted work authorization
+ Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Additional Information
+ The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
+ Ability to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) Monday - Friday, for the duration of the internship with possible evenings and weekends if necessary
+ This internship is primarily onsite M-Th with the options working from home on most Fridays. It requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
+ Able to provide own housing during the internship in the Orlando, Florida area and have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
