Position Overview:The Retail Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring that customers have an exceptional experience while at the Bob’s Red Mill Whole Grain Store. This position assists customers by helping them find products and answering questions, operating cash registers, cleaning and organizing, tracking inventory, and stocking product. 

Essential Job Functions: 

• Shares product knowledge enthusiastically and accurately to elevate service and increase sales. 

• Operates cash register with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. 

• Assist with inventory and ordering of merchandise. 
• Monitors and stocks bulk bins.
• Ensures warehouse is clean and organized.

• Stocks shelves and ensures proper merchandise rotation. 
• Rotates stock in warehouse to ensure acuracy adn food safety.

• Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, stickered, and displayed. 

• Provides friendly and engaging customer service. 

• Confronts and resolvesdifficult situations in a proactive, objective, professional, and solution-oriented manner.  

• Communicates effectively with individuals, groups, peers, management, and the general public. 

• Ensures a clean, organized, safe, and respectful environment for guests and employees. 

• Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner. 

• Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).  

• Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.  

• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.  

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

• None.   

• This position reports to the Retail Warehouse Supervisor.

Education and Experience:  

• Previous experience in customer service, AND 

• High school diploma or equivalent; OR 

• Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks. 

• Must hold or be able to obtain an OLCC license. 
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle and be on company insurance. 
• Must hold or be able to obtain a valid drivers license. 

Physical Demands:   

• Position requires continued walking or standing for up to 4 hours at a time. 

• Position requires the ability to bend, squat, reach, pull, grasp, lift, carry, and climb frequently. 

• Positionfrequently requires the ability to lift products weighing up to 50 pounds up and down ladders and from ground level to various levels of racking. 

• Must be able to use stairs, step stool, and tower ladders. 

Work Environment:  

• The primary work environment for this position is within the warehouse.A small percentage of the time may be outdoors where temperatures vary. 

• Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
