Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- Perform accounting, compliance testing, and Form 5500 preparation for Defined Contribution qualified retirement plans, including 401(k) Plans
- Assist with ongoing daily retirement plan operations for clients, including plan correction transaction processing, and client communications, and consulting
- Demonstrate solid understanding and apply to individual client assignments - accounting principles, ERISA regulations, technology implementation procedures, etc.
- Complete assigned tasks by deadlines and adhere to time budgets per project
- Meet annual chargeable hour goals
- Participate in early business development activities such as: membership in qualified organization capable of referring potential engagements
- Execute administrative duties and additional team responsibilities as assigned
- Achieve industry credentials within 4 years, including QKA, CPA or similar credentials and maintain related continuing education requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree – Accounting (or similar related program degree)
- Internship experience in accounting or related field preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and project management skills
Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
