We are currently seeking a Return To Work Case Manager/Registered Nurse for our client in the Biotech domain. Role Description: As a Return To Work Case Manager/ Registered Nurse, you must have at least 3-5 years of experience.
Skills:
- Must have NC RN license
- Occupational health experience a plus
- Needs computer skill: electronic medical records entry
- Excel spreadsheet (simple entry)
- Phone skills, mainly calls for COVID and some other return to work questions.
- Knowledge should include an overall understanding of occupational health. The Staff Nurse RN reports directly to the Clinical Nursing Supervisor.
- The RN serves as the site expert medical authority pertaining to medical decisions which must be made.
- The Staff Nurse RN consults with the national medical consultant physician but is expected to make decisions based upon a combination of written directives, legal requirements, precedent, CDC guidelines and previous experience.
- The RN is regularly in contact with physicians who provide non-occupational and occupational medical care and rehabilitation for employees.
Education & Experience:
- Requires graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science or Associate Degree in nursing program.
- State licensure is also required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in Occupational Health Nursing, medical assessment, emergency medical care, clinic work, and/or public health nursing.
- Must be licensed to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina.
- Certification via the American Board of Occupational Health Nursing COHN-S OR COHN is preferred Duties:
- Assist managers/workers with evaluation of RETURN TO WORK criteria and decisions.
- Will field calls relating to COVID and return to work.
- Provides employees based in the US access to medical and health services with the objective of providing optimal safe, efficient, and productive operations and optimal employee relations.
- Create medical records including return to work notes.
Note: The main function will be administrative (90% on the phone). The Return To Work Case Manager will do vision testing (0-5 a week) and may be requested to give Hepatitis B vaccinations and draw lab work if the clinic nurse is not onsite.
Education: Associate Degree/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
