Revenue Accountant, Coppell, TX
Job Summary:
Accountable for Revenue and Billing for large and complex Customer contracts for GW Communication Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UniTek Global Services, Inc., which includes the customer invoicing preparation, proper Percent of Completion (POC) revenue recognition, billing and collections, as well as month end reporting and related internal controls to ensure that revenue billing and cash flow are maximized for each contract.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the revenue, billing and collections function, for assigned large and complex ($25M+) Revenue and Billing contracts, which includes contract interpretation for billable items and rates, document gathering, assessing billing milestones, gathering backup documentation, change order interpretations and tracking, apply correct rate applications to production units, inclusions and exclusion of items, and other items required to properly bill premium customers.
· Work with corporate and line of business leadership and field personnel to gather required documentation to bill and collect revenue, optimize cash flow and minimize collection write-offs.
· Provide detailed revenue analysis and decision support to the management team related to the assigned contract.
· Assist with devising and implementing controls to ensure proper billing and collection
· Assist with assigned month end close responsibilities, which may include JE’s, account reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
· Assist with audits/reviews as needed and develop corrective action plans for implementing controls of any issues uncovered
· Develop collaborative working relationships with corporate and company leadership to encourage sharing of ideas and information, process improvement, and company growth

Technical Skills:
· Knowledge of finance, accounting, and control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
· Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

· Strong analytical skills to solve complex issues
· Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality to minimize risk of errors
Physical Requirements:
· Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
· Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day.
· Typical office environment
· Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- CPA a plus
Experience:
· Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience,
Telecom Industry experience a plus
- Intermediate Excel Skills
· Prior Revenue Accounting experience a plus
