Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing competency in Strategic Marketing policies, procedures and processes under moderate supervision. Responsible for the execution of accepted yielding models for the hotel, arena and special event inventories. Maintains appropriate status reports for tacking key performance indicators (KPIs) for established business metrics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
+ Executes processes and models to assist in maximizing the total profitability of Mohegan Sun’s room inventory through the manipulation of pricing, availability and market mix based on the competitive environment
+ Executes processes and models to assist in maximizing the total profitability of Mohegan Sun’s arena and casino special events through the manipulation of availability
+ Responsible for the operation of automation tools (i.e. Duetto)
+ Assists in performing displacement analysis of casino/transient guests against the contribution of Group Sales and other event blocks
+ Collects competitive intelligence data for areas of responsibility
+ Participates in regular and ad hoc meetings for the purpose of reviewing event and hotel criteria with the Marketing executive team and other key stakeholders
+ Complies with proper controls, manual or automated, that are in place to safeguard information and financial assets
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Adheres to quality standards for their organization’s services and deliverables
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
+ Bachelors’ Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field
+ One year of experience as a Financial Analyst or Marketing Analyst
+ In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, two years of experience as a Financial or Marketing Analyst may be considered
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent teamwork skills
+ Intermediate proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
+ Intermediate proficiency with reporting tools and SQL
+ Intermediate financial modeling and analysis skills
Training Requirements:
+ Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures
+ Intermediate knowledge with the Strategic Marketing software application (i.e. Duetto)
+ Intermediate knowledge of the Property Management System (i.e. Lodging Management System)
+ Intermediate knowledge of Casino Management System (i.e. Bally’s ACSC)
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
+ Office work environment
+ Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
+ May require occasional weekend and evening work
+ Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
