What We Need
We are a dynamic and rapidly growing organization in search of a Revenue Manager. This role is critical in overseeing the entire order-to-cash process, ensuring accurate billing, collections, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GAAP, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing revenue accounting functions, especially within SaaS business models. The Revenue Manager reports to the Global Corporate Controller.
What You'll Do
- Manage the end-to-end order-to-cash process, including accurate and timely billing, collections, revenue recognition, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Manage sales tax process in conjunction with Avalara.
- Reconcile revenue and other key financial accounts on a regular basis
- Participate in the development of new products, ensuring correct revenue recording, while establishing key controls and enhanced reporting processes as needed
- As subject matter expert on billing systems, lead upgrades and implementing process changes
- Collaborate with IT, sales, and other internal teams on process improvement initiatives
- Review contracts to interpret terms and conditions, ensuring accurate revenue recognition
- Coordinate and oversee the collection of overdue accounts
- Hire, train, and mentor billing staff, providing ongoing leadership and direction
- Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and maintain strong internal controls
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors and participate in the audit process
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance plus 5-10 years of accounting experience, with substantial experience in billing and revenue management.
- NetSuite knowledge and experience is required, experience with Salesforce and PowerBi is strongly preferred.
- SaaS company experience is required
- CPA designation is a plus, but not required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles is critical, including application of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
- Expertise in sales tax recognition and reconciling sales tax records highly beneficial
- Strong leadership abilities and a proven track record in managing accounting functions
- In office Monday thru Thursday at north Scottsdale, AZ office location
