Woodfords Family Services is seeking a seasoned finance professional to fill the role of Revenue Manager. This is a full-time (40 hours), salaried - exempt, position located at our Main Office in Westbrook, ME.
Position Summary
The Revenue Manager is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Accounts Receivable department and manager of billing processes at the agency. This position will maintain the recording and collection of customer payments, ensuring efficient, timely, and accurate billing processing.
The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in finance with specific knowledge and experience executing various billing, collections, and accounting procedures. Strong reporting and analytical skills, as well as familiarity with billing software is highly preferred.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
- Supervising the Senior Medical Billing Coordinators.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the agencies billing software by ensuring all NPI numbers, billing codes, authorizations, etc. are up to date.
- Responsible for the monthly Revenue Close Process by posting revenue to the proper account from the Billing Software to the Agency's Accounting and General Ledger Software.
- Support advocacy efforts in MaineCare rate setting efforts.
- Responsible for the posting of Cash Receipt Deposits to Accounting Software/General Ledger.
Billing
- Responsible for reviewing all billing data entered into the billing software by billing staff and ensuring that all information is entered timely, accurately and has appropriate authorizations.
- Responsible for overseeing the transmission of all billing data from the billing software to MaineCare and all other appropriate insurance companies and/or payors.
Collections
- Responsible for the research of all denials of payment and take appropriate action for collection, saving as an attachment in consumer record in the agency's billing software.
Opportunity Details
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
- $72,000 - $75,000 per year - commensurate with experience
- Opportunity is eligible for a hybrid work schedule upon completion of the introductory period.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of four years in an Accounts Receivable and/or Collection environment.
- Excellent understanding of the federally regulated Medicaid programs, (for example MaineCare).
- Computer experience including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn other applications as needed; advanced Excel skills required.
