Summary:
The Rework Technician will be responsible for improving product quality and primarily assisting with rework efforts by adjusting and repairing printed circuit board assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate ability to hand solder complex, fine pitched leaded and lead-free products. Preform hand soldering of thru-hole to complex SMD parts to printed circuit boards
- Demonstrate enhanced IPC inspection knowledge for parts placement, solder inspection reflow and through hole, PCB/component damage, Final Assembly Inspection, PB & PB-Free PCA handling, Electrostatic Discharge
- Able to read bill of materials and secure correct components required to rework
- Demonstrated ability to use hot plate, hot air gun and microscope as required for soldering operations
- If a product is non-conforming, reworking skills are needed to bring quality of product up to required standards.
- Print Documentation and interpret Customer/EBW Prints, WI's, Bill of Material, and IPC standards
- Inspect the boards to ensure solderability, IPC compliant, part placement correct, and for orientation and polarity to be accurate.
- Train AOI Operations on defects and required corrections
- Disposition and rework customer returns
- Complete PLEX transactions to maintain inventory accuracy of dispositioned product
- Other duties as assigned
Education/ Experience:
- High school Diploma or equivalent required
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Electronics Manufacturing required
- IPC 7711/7721 & 610A certification required

- Adhere to company's safety, quality, and HR policies at all times.
