Mercy Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Rheumatology Physician to join our dynamic team in Toledo. As a key component of our patient care services, you will play a crucial role in guiding the patient journey with immune-mediated disorders. Your expertise will enhance the reputation of Mercy Health within the community, delivering professional services that uphold our commitment to excellence in healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive rheumatology care Monday through Friday
- Conduct initial patient consultations and develop individualized care plans
- Oversee patient follow-up visits and interpret results from lab and radiology tests
- Collaborate closely with referring providers and other healthcare professionals
- Recommend appropriate referrals to ensure seamless patient access to medical care
- Engage in teaching opportunities with internal medicine and family medicine residents
Additional Information:
- You will be supported by our dedicated administration, management team, clinic medical assistants, and office staff. This is a newer program with anticipated patient volumes increasing to 25 per day by the second year.
- Benefit from full-range ancillary services including radiology, psychology, infectious disease, pathology, immunology, and physical therapy.
- Focus on immune-mediated disorders including musculoskeletal, soft tissue, and connective tissue disorders.
- Utilize current telemedicine platforms as needed to deliver virtual care for follow-ups and patient monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Current certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Rheumatology
- Dedication to providing compassionate patient-centered care
