RHVAC Supervisor at City Facilities Management

About the Job
The RHVAC Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of technicians and providing service excellence to our partner in this area of the business. This includes coaching, counseling and providing on the job training for team members in order to successfully meet the goals and service levels established for the team. This is a working supervisor role, and as such, the supervisor is expected to assist with or take on jobs during times that there are vacancies, their technicians are unavailable or there is an urgent need.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise the maintenance of retail locations via a team of assigned technicians responsible for maintaining refrigeration and HVAC for a group of retail locations.
- Establish effective communication with team members and site management to ensure that the client is kept informed of all ongoing maintenance activities and schedules.
- Liaise with team members and site management to ensure that all planned maintenance activities are communicated effectively.
- Ensure all required job updates are provided.
- Ensure team is following a proactive model for maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure that team maintains all assets assigned to it to the highest standards.
- Ensure that team members are performing preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Work in a clean and safe manner ensuring that team members are doing the same.
- Participate in company’s “on call” after hours’ program as needed as well as managing the team’s participation.
- Assist in troubleshooting problems or issues by providing higher level assistance to team members.
- Supervise the equipment inventory process for assigned team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Act in accordance with all company policies & procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possesses a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman qualified in refrigeration and HVAC systems or equivalent work experience
- EPA certified for refrigerant handling class I and II or universal
- In depth working knowledge of supermarket rack refrigeration equipment, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems
- Above average troubleshooting
- Ability to multi-task; work with limited supervision and make sound decisions quickly
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert for the team and solve problems at a high level
- High standard of integrity and reliability
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication skills, and customer service skills
- Ability to coach, counsel, and motivate employees as required
- Demonstrated basic computer skills including, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Demonstrated self-motivation and a successful history in previous career positions
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions
- Authorized to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same (not company sponsored)
- Successful completion and review or pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Internal applicants must be Level 5 technicians to be considered
- Previous supervisory experience
