The position: The Risk Administrator contributes to the success of the organization through management of legal process services and incident reports related to risk management and insurance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing administrative support to the risk and insurance team.
- Receives and processes SOP’s into RMIS system, assigns files to individual Risk Manager’s or Insurance Manager.
- Assists in developing analytics to track and monitor performance.
- Corresponds with internal teams to collect information or evidence to assist in claims & litigation management.
- Assists outside counsel with administrative tasks when assigned.
- Maintains effective scheduling of legal response dates, individually and as a group, based on court deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with legal or insurance management software.
- Knowledge of Yardi, and OneSite/RealPage
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records while ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to handle sensitive legal and insurance information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and responding to urgent requests.
Physical Requirements
- May be required to sit for extended periods of time
- May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
- Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
Work Environment
- This is a hybrid role requiring the associate to be in one of our corporate offices at least four days a week.
- The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in property management or legal
- Supervisory experience a plus
